Disappointments, Eyes, and Dancer Truths.

I tend to think too much into things, but last night's thought pattern proved to be somewhat productive...

As of this past evening, I now contain this theory that the way you act upon being disappointed in the present revolves around four things in the past:
  • The first few experience with major disappointment.
  • Your age and maturity level at that moment.
  • Your coping abilities at the time.
  • The severity of your disappointment or reasoning behind the feeling.
And depending on these four things, the present day look that appears inside your eyes in the face of disappointment will vary immensely.  Have you ever disappointed someone and, after seeing their expression (specifically the eyes), felt like you're looking into the eyes of a child who's dreams were crushed --even though the person was 25?

...Yes.  It sucks. A person will tend to keep the same expression he or she first made during her first experiences with disappointment.  Again, it's especially noticeable in the eyes. You should go find out for yourself: observe people.

Either way, I hate disappointments, being disappointed, or disappointing others. And more so from that, I dislike the look in peoples eyes when they ARE disappointed. Makes you feel crappy, doesn't it?

Imagine disappointing this face? -dies-

Random Fact/Advice/Insight:
  • There are no separations or dividers in a dance studio that indicate a difference between instructors from students. There are only intimidating ballet bars, cruel mirrors, and vein perfectionists who can (and usually will) gossip or criticize.

That ends my post. My head is still reeling from all the new thoughts and self-realizations of the past night. I'm also still tired, so... back to sleep!

Adieu,
La Anonyme
